Mike and Nicky Honey became the Directors of BV Medical in 2017. Mike has a diverse background of General Management roles, including managing large teams in Healthcare Services management, and smaller teams in trades-based industries. Mike's degree in Marketing and Business Management combines nicely with Nicky's Accounting background. Mike is the first to admit that Nicky is the real boss! Keep an eye out for Mike and Nicky at any All Blacks or Silver Ferns games, or on the sidelines at their kids' sports games. Just quietly, they enjoy the kids events more.
Ashrit honed his skills for Team Leadership and repairs as the Biomedical Team Leader at CWM Hospital in Fiji, as well as the Fijian Military. He often relates stories of having to think outside the square to resolve issues due to resources being a long way away. He is now enjoying Leading our Team of Engineers with resources a bit closer (sometimes!). As a humble man, he hides the fact that he was the original Karate Kid. Except sometimes on the football field, when his Karate skills occasionally show through...
Ronita manages our office. Just two of Ronita's main tasks are the processing of the more than 350 items of equipment that flow through our workshop each month, and producing reports for every performance and verification job carried out throughout the country each week. Ronita left a remote village in the north of Fiji in 2010 and came to New Zealand to build a better future for herself. She undertook a management course in 2010 and came to work with BV Medical in 2012. Ronita is focused and determined to 'make it work' here in New Zealand. Hidden talent: Ronita is a baker extrordinaire - the birthday cakes are to die for!
Nathan has a long history with BV Medical. Having started off as a technician in Auckland in 2014, he then moved to Christchurch to pioneer our first regional base and is now handling our newest branch in the central north island. He has had diverse experience working in the medical and mobility fields both locally and abroad. His background in engineering, attention to detail and a customer centric focus allow him to give our customers the best experience whether it be performance verification or repairs.
Greg is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in IT and Telco spanning over two decades, complemented by recent expertise in health technology. His extensive experience includes roles across various healthcare settings such as general practice, allied health, and hospitals in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Greg's passion for health technology is evident in his work, and he currently resides on the Kapiti coast, managing operations for the Lower North region and catering to a wide clientele base.
Santiago joined BV Medical as a Biomedical Engineer extraordinaire for both Aged Care Centres and Medical Centres. As his mother is a Microbiologist and his father an Electrical Engineer, Santiago mixed the best of both worlds to build his career in Biomedical Engineering. After living in Auckland for more than four years, Santiago loved the idea of moving to the South Island, as much as we love the chance to serve our South Island customers better.
